Update on THORChain Lending pause THORChain Lending services on THORSwap are currently paused due to TOR pool depth being shallower than expected. A proposed [THORChain update](https://gitlab.com/thorchain/thornode/-/merge_requests/3450) aims to correct this issue, bringing the TOR pool depth back to normal levels. Due to the current contracted TOR pool depth, the internal swaps required to open/close lending positions cannot be streamed. Thus, while the lending quotes are accurate, they present the likelihood of >significant slippage<. THORSwap is committed to maintaining transparency and safeguarding users, lending will likely remain paused until the update fix is implemented and verified.

Quick Post-mortem of the WBTC Arb Incident TC Treasury refunded the failed swap (70 BTC direct to swapper) within the first 2 hours post incident. Root cause identified the issue and fixes are inbound -- a vault had run out of ETH gas, so failed to process the tx (fixed); the WBTC was deemed an "unrecoverable refund" and kept in the pool (it should have been moved to outside the pool, but inside the vault). TC Treasury is the largest LP of the WBTC pool; and thus captured the majority of the slip based fees of the event; roughly around 50BTC balance change across the event. The other 20 BTC was captured via arbs. Arbs are mostly friendly to the protocol so this incident capitalised them; They are still requested to return their profits minus 10%. * Work is underway to add more auto-pause when major slip-events are detected in large pools. * Community has a bounty and a process (tag @nodeoperator) if seeing any suspicious tx now. * Additional work to add more bots to monitor and flag txs to community. No further recovery will be sought from participants; thanks for your engagement. TC is a complex protocol; community is first and last line of defence. Better a small incident now to apply levels of fixes than a large incident in the years ahead. Other L1 DEX protocols - please apply these fixes to your protocols as well. Onwards.

Gaia Paused Trading on TC Update

⚠️ THORChain Network Functions Paused for Maintenance THORChain has temporarily halted all native transactions (swaps involving RUNE, loans, THORNames and synth transactions) due to a security report related to a new feature which has not been activated yet. This pre-emptive precautionary step means that for a while, THORChain transactions won't be possible, affecting trading and arbitrage. As a result, THORChain has been disabled on THORSwap as a cross-chain provider while an assessment of the situation is conducted. L1 swaps may be re-enabled on THORSwap (excluding Rune) with tweaked streaming swaps settings (slower) if arbitrage bots keep the prices of assets in line with the market without native THORChain functions enabled. 👉 RUNE LP actions, Earn (Savers vaults) operations, synthetic asset send/mint/redeem, THORName and Lending will remain paused until THORChain resumes normal operations. ✅ All other providers are functioning normally, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, stable coins and most erc20 tokens.

Cosmos Hub Hard Fork Maintenance Pause Cosmos (ATOM) is currently halted on THORChain due a chain hardfork. All ATOM functions are paused (swap/LP/Earn/send etc) at this time. Other chains and functions are unaffected, thank you for your patience.
