** New Proposed Mimir to Update LP Records ** After a great number of discussions, it seems like this decision should ultimately be left up to the Node Operators, and there will be a vote on the following new proposed mimir: EnableUpdateMemo-TERRA Instructions will be sent with the 1.89 Release. A vote of 1 will enable a new Update memo to be processed on the Terra chain, allowing LPs to update their record. The default value for this will be 0, leaving the system as currently implemented. Just to recap, once 1.89 is live and LP Actions are enabled on Terra, Terra-RUNE LPers will be allowed to leave the same way they came in. For asym UST/LUNA LPers, this leaves them unable to withdraw their current rune LP share without converting it to UST/LUNA. This is because the LP Record for them only has a terra address, and the system can't currently update an LP Record for security reasons. Note that this has mostly been a feature, not a bug of THORChain, and there has been an attack in the past that allowed an attacker to maliciously update an LP record. attacker to maliciously update an LP recSon of Odin and others have expressed concerns about opening up this ability, and we should all take time to consider that this has intentionally not been added up until this point. That being said, this exact feature was filed as an issue a month ago, and it would be quite helpful in general: https://gitlab.com/thorchain/thornode/-/issues/1272 Naturally, if this passes, all eyes will be on it and do absolutely everything that can be done to ensure it is implemented correctly, but we should all be aware this does open up new surface area, and there is time pressure here. 48 Hour Deadline to Vote Given the May 26 fork deadline for Terra, the protocol needs to move quickly on any solution here. If consensus isn't reached within 48 hours, this will not be considered as part of the TC Terra plan (but may be used in the future).

Community Memo Terra Chain Update Projects fail because of Central Planning. THORChain will ultimately fail if it cannot shed central planning aspects, such as mimir, Devs and treasury. It will be fake-decentralised. For everyone involved and looking for problems-solutions please frame your perspective with a simple question: "how can we solve this with the minimum involvement from mimir, Devs, treasury, instead stick to the principles THORChain is built on: codified network rules." The network auto-paused. Devs identified that toxic arb can drain all the rune in the pools. Because this puts funds-at-risk to LPs, only 1 change has been rolled out: block toxic arb. When the chain is unpaused, no other changes, input or central planning is required. Thus this is now the template for the community to navigate future chain-implosions, which is a non-zero risk at all times.

Latest Terra Update V1.89 is being prepped for release. Terra will be turned on once upgraded. The txOut queue will be processed. Toxic arb will be blocked, saving 5m RUNE for LPs LPs will be given 7 days to withdraw. Trading will then be turned on to empty the vaults. Terra will be purged from the network. If you have LUNA/UST you will have time to get it back to your wallet for the May 27 Terra v2 Launch Snapshot. Note: subject to change. Just keeping everyone up to date.

It’s complicated. Prices are frozen on TC. Here is the latest: Likely Terra Plan Plan is changing, but this is the latest one. 1) V1.89 includes pauseAssymLP which combined with pauseTrading will stop toxic arb flow. Note: It has *no* change to LPs being able to exit, it simply mandates they leave the way they came in, which is fairest and stops LPs attacking other LPs. This has been explained ad-nauseam. 2) Terra LPs given a week+ to leave with their capital. The TC treasury with it's $2m+ bootstrap liquidity position, WILL be leaving. Do with this info what you will. 3) If TerraCommunity roll out a hard fork/recovery plan it will likely be followed. 4) If TerraCommunity do not promptly roll out a recovery plan within 2weeks (ish), the chain will be abandoned. This includes ragnaroking all Terra LPs their RUNE capital and quitting the chain. Note: LUNA,UST assets will *not* be returned since chain in unknown state, only RUNE refunded. Exit Options > RUNE-SIDED: I entered with just RUNE: you will exit with just RUNE > DUAL-SIDED: I entered with RUNE+LUNA, or RUNE+UST: you will leave with RUNE+LUNA or RUNE+UST > ASSET-SIDED: I entered with just LUNA or just UST: you will leave with just LUNA or UST The last one seems unfair, what's up with that? 1) The state machine does not have a THOR address for those users, so cannot give them RUNE 2) Those members are still getting their capital back, it's what they put in 3) THORChain is still neutral to the chain and the asset

Btw, just saw this.. On ETH Chain We've seen a report that certain websites like CoinGecko, Etherscan, DexTools and probably others may have been targeted by some kind of attack. The attack is opening up a Metamask popup window trying to make you approve a bad contract that will most likely drain your entire wallet, therefore, in case of an unwanted Metamask popup, make sure you close all of the tabs in your web browser and as always, be careful about signing any permission/approval requested by any websites. It doesn't affect everyone but in an abundance of caution everyone should be careful and make sure to read every MetaMask popup very carefully (or any other wallet).

Luna and UST pools are miss-priced due to Terra halt. Thorchain is having some technical issues which is causing some slowing of the network. Recommend reframing from adding/removing LP until an update is announced. Swaps should function normal, but data display may not be accurate.

You may see eth chain going offline and online over and over again. This is likely solvency checker automation. Eth gas is causing issues, but Thorchain is working just fine. Devs will fix this problem soon.

Son Of Odin — Today at 7:56 PM ETH trading and LP actions have been enabled, but the outbound queue is backed up, and will struggle to catch back up while the network is also churning at the same time. The queue will clear itself out eventually, just may take 6+ hrs

Terra chain restarted. Tx are massively backed up. Once they clear, eth will be restarted and some hours will be needed to clear those as well.
